Build & manage
Flow builder
The flow builder is a visual canvas for designing exactly how a call should go — step by step, with branches for different caller responses.
When to use a flow
A plain system prompt is perfect for open-ended conversations. Reach for a flow when you need a guided, predictable path — qualifying a lead, booking an appointment, or routing callers by intent.
Flows override the system prompt
Node types
Build your flow by dragging nodes onto the canvas and connecting them with conditions:
| Node | What it does |
|---|---|
| Greeting | How the agent opens the call. |
| Conversation | A free-form step where the agent talks and listens. |
| Question | Ask something specific and branch on the answer. |
| Transfer | Hand the call off to a human or another number. |
| Function | Call a tool or your webhook to fetch or send data. |
| End Call | Wrap up and hang up. |
Connect nodes with conditions to branch — for example, send "yes" answers to a booking node and "no" answers to a polite wrap-up.
Build faster
- Generate from prompt — describe the call in plain English and let JagCall draft the flow for you, then refine it.
- Templates — start from a proven flow for common use cases.
- Auto-layout — tidy up the canvas with one click.
- Export / import — move a flow between agents or back it up.
Test, publish & measure
Try the flow in the built-in test chat before going live. Flows have their own versions and publish step, just like agents, so you can iterate safely. Once live, flow analytics show how callers move through your nodes so you can spot drop-off points and improve them.
