Port your number

Bring your current business number to JagCall so your calls and texts run through your AI agents. You keep your number — JagCall becomes its new carrier.

Before you start

Have these ready from your current phone provider:

  • Your account number.
  • Your transfer PIN / port-out passcode — many carriers require one, so check with your provider.
  • A recent bill (PDF or photo, within the last 30 days) showing the number, the account holder's name, and the service address.
  • The exact account holder name and service address on file with your current provider — these must match, or the port can be rejected.
  • International numbers only (e.g. Canada): a signed Letter of Authorization (LOA) dated within the last 30 days.

Don't cancel your current service

Keep your existing line active until the port completes — cancelling it early kills the transfer.

Submit your port request

  1. 1

    Open Phone Numbers

Go to Phone Numbers in the left sidebar and click Port a number.

  2. 2

    Choose the number's country

Pick the country your number belongs to. This decides how we file the transfer with your carrier (US numbers and international numbers follow different processes).

  3. 3

Enter your number and carrier details

Add the number(s) to bring over (use Add another number for more), then your current carrier, account holder name, account number, transfer PIN, the service address on file, and a contact email and phone.

  4. 4

    Upload your documents

Upload your recent bill. For international numbers, also upload your signed LOA.

  5. 5

    Submit

Click Submit port request. Our team reviews it and files the transfer with your carrier on your behalf.

Track your request

Your request appears under Porting in on the Phone Numbers page with a live status:

  • Submitted → In review → In progress → Completed — we email you whenever the status changes.
  • You can cancel while it's still Submitted or In review (nothing has been filed with your carrier yet).

What to expect

  • US numbers — usually 1–4 weeks, paced by your current carrier.
  • International (e.g. Canada) — usually 5–7 business days.

International ports: watch for the 90-minute approval text

For international numbers, your current carrier sends a port-approval code by text — you must respond within 90 minutes or the port is rejected. Keep an eye on that line while the port is in progress.

When the port completes, your number goes live in JagCall automatically — just assign it to an agent on the Phone numbers page.

Avoid the common rejection causes

  • Make sure the name and address exactly match your current provider's records.
  • Use a bill from the last 30 days.
  • Keep your existing line active the whole time.
  • Double-check the account number and PIN.

Want to go live sooner?

Porting takes days to weeks. To start immediately, buy a JagCall number now, or forward your existing line to it — then switch over once the port completes.
