Phone numbers
Numbers are how callers reach your agents. Get one in minutes, assign an agent to it, and decide exactly when the AI answers versus when calls go to your team.
Getting a number

Buy a number
In Phone Numbers, search availability and buy a local or toll-free number. It's ready to use immediately.

Or port an existing one
Choose Port a number to bring a number you already own to JagCall. Track each request in the Porting in list, which shows its current status. See Port your number for the full step-by-step, including what to gather and international (e.g. Canada) requirements.
Porting takes several business days
Until a port completes, keep your current provider active. Want to go live sooner? Buy a temporary number or forward your existing line to a JagCall number.
Number settings
Select a number to open its detail tabs:
Calls tab
- Inbound agent — the voice agent that answers, or None (no inbound handling).
- Call Schedule — split each day into time slots marked AI (the agent answers) or Human/forward (calls forward to your team). Calls outside your slots are forwarded automatically.
- Send SMS — send a one-off text from this number.
SMS tab
- SMS Agent — the agent that replies to inbound texts.
- SMS Schedule — set active hours, or leave it open so the agent replies 24/7.
- Activate SMS — turn on texting for the number. SMS is a monthly subscription; see Billing & credits.
Settings tab
View the number's metadata, including when it was provisioned.
